I think most of you have a fan page of yours in the famous social networking site, facebook. Having a facebook fan page for your webpage or your service will provide you quality traffic from facebook and also visitors can get the latest news from you.
So if you have a fan page, then definitely you should have a Welcome page. That mean your visitors will come to this page where you have some welcome messages. I’m pretty much sure that they will enjoy your fan page.
So how to make your own welcome page in facebook? It’s that much easier. All you need to have is an image which contains your welcome message. (it’s better to have a ads like image). If you don’t have any image, don’t worry you can simply enter any text in the welcome page.
Today I will show you how to make a Welcome page in Facebook for your fan page.

This is the Tab you can see in your fan page. This contains the welcome Tab also.

So in order to get your own welcome Tab, login to your facebook fan page account, then search for FBML in the top search bar.

You can see 2 results for the key word. Click the static FBML. This application allows you to create your welcome page smoothly.

Once you reached the application page, click the “Add to my page”. This will add FBML to your page and hence can be easily used.


Now go back to your profile and click the “Edit this page”.

Now you can see a box called FBML 1. Click the pencil icon in the right side of the box.

Now you will get the space where you can add your welcome messages. Give the title as “Welcome” (or as your choice). Now enter the content to be displayed in the welcome page. You can add images, videos or anything as your wish. Just add the html tags for them. If you have a welcome image which displays all your details, then you can simply put the image there. :)

Once you got all your content in the box, save it. If you want to change it, you can do it later.

Now You need to add a welcome tab. Initially your Tab section may look like this.

So click the “+” symbol. You will get a list  like as shown below. There you can see your welcome page. Here it’s shown as the “Welcome”. Click on that.

Now your welcome page tab is added to fan page :) Now if you need to make this welcome tab as the default page, that’s if a visitor comes to the page, they want to see your welcome message first, then use the following steps.

Click on the “Option” button just below the share button.

Now click the icon “Settings”.

Now you will get the settings for the Tabs. Change the “Default landing Tab for Everyone Else: ” to your WELCOME page and Save.
