FBML is not available anymore for Facebook Fan Pages. Try searching for an app from Wildfire which put custom messages on Fan Pages for fans and non-fans. I don’t remember the exact name of the app.

I AM TRYING TO CREATE A WELLCOME PAGE FOR MY FAN PAGE AND I DID WHAT YOU TOLD US BUT AFTER I found THE FBML in the search box I LOOK down to SEE “ADD TO MY PAGE” AND I CAN NOT SEE IT ANYWHERE. iT IS NOT UNDER MY ADD TO MY FAVORITES. THIS IS WHAT IS APPEARING

Oh just saw that you have to pay. How much is it Anyone know? Looks like you have too click on “Add App” I am guessing???

6/2/11 – I am having issues with these instructions. Looks easy enough, but when I go to the Static FBML page, I don’t see any link or option that says “add to my page”????? I clicked on every tab. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i have seen many pages, u can add a comment there under the pic or grafix..that can’t b done here..:/

I have managed to put a Welcome page onto our Facebook page:

But I can’t put an image on. Can someone please help me with step by step instructions? I’m not very technical!

Once I’ve got an image up there, I will then make my Welcome page the default page but don’t want to do this until I’ve got the image up there.

I finally did it… with an image

All you have to do is to add image tag into you FBML box, like this

I’ve searched all over the Net and have NOT FOUND ONE app — be it Static FBML or other that works on a basic profile page to create a landing or Welcome page. All I get is the “The developer of this application does not currently allow it to be added.”

And Facebook changed the whole Tabs thing recently in early November 2010 so one cannot add any tabs anymore. And i get the “author of this application

But… I still see pages with Welcome Tabs. It’s really frustrating not being able to make my own. Are there ANY (free or otherwise) app that will actually work now?

Hello,

It seems to be easy for adding text but it was impossible for me to put a photo.
I tried putting the photo in Dreamweaver, copy the code and paste it but now way!
10 hours in front of the computer, this is being modern;)

Great simple trick – I love it. Now, I have a question? If I really don’t have time to play/experiment with FBML nor to start learning now (soon maybe), so could you prettym please give us an example or few of a good FBML codes/samples with a Profile Fan page link to preview it. I always wanted to know how do the make the :”Box” tab, or some custom tab (call it BlogRoll)where you can preview Blog or Posts, than you can Vote for example (Poolls on a page), and even Subscribe to newsletter-eMail or RSS Feeds if you like!!! Click on the “Option” button just below the share button and then the settings. Now you will get the settings for the Tabs. Change the “Default landing Tab for Everyone Else: ” to your WELCOME page and Save. That’s all.
