I don’t use neither free or premium themes, I only get my inspiration from them. I think it’s best to take the time and use a flexible WP theme generator that allows you to recreate some of these designs. I use Lubith for example and I prefer a paid membership instead of purchasing a premium theme – I can make all the designs that I want, I don’t have trouble with support, I can make original themes and make a business out of it on my own.

FBML is not available anymore for Facebook Fan Pages. Try searching for an app from Wildfire which put custom messages on Fan Pages for fans and non-fans. I don’t remember the exact name of the app.

Great list. I will look forward to go through the tutorials very soon. I browsed few of them, and found them really informative and clear. Specially the video tutorials were of great help. Every bit was explained in good manner. Live demo or working with the video made it very much simple to catch. It will be great resource for beginners in website designing. It would conversion from PSD to HTML/CSS way much easier.

6/2/11 – I am having issues with these instructions. Looks easy enough, but when I go to the Static FBML page, I don’t see any link or option that says “add to my page”????? I clicked on every tab. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have managed to put a Welcome page onto our Facebook page:

But I can’t put an image on. Can someone please help me with step by step instructions? I’m not very technical!

Once I’ve got an image up there, I will then make my Welcome page the default page but don’t want to do this until I’ve got the image up there.

@Cla-ude, yeah, some browser themes can be annoying but you just have to shop around for a good one that is not distracting. I personally like them for a bit of a change in scenery.

To Jilson:

I’ve searched all over the Net and have NOT FOUND ONE app — be it Static FBML or other that works on a basic profile page to create a landing or Welcome page. All I get is the “The developer of this application does not currently allow it to be added.”

And Facebook changed the whole Tabs thing recently in early November 2010 so one cannot add any tabs anymore. And i get the “author of this application

But… I still see pages with Welcome Tabs. It’s really frustrating not being able to make my own. Are there ANY (free or otherwise) app that will actually work now?
